Consult with one of the region’s most highly-regarded teams in hematology and oncology for all benign and malignant hematologic disorders, including leukemia and lymphoma, as well as cancers of the breast, lung, prostate, gynecologic, colon, brain and nervous system, and others.
From the moment you discover you have cancer, our oncologists and multidisciplinary team will combine their unique skills to create a targeted treatment plan personalized for you and your specific cancer.
The Seacoast Cancer Center’s team approach to comprehensive cancer care often combines several different disciplines, including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. As a group, our diverse medical experts from all relevant disciplines come together to review and decide on a course of treatment for each individual patient.
A medical oncologist will talk with you about your diagnosis, discuss various treatment options and recommend a treatment plan that is best for you.
Medical oncology is the treatment of cancer using medicine delivered both by IV and oral therapy. It also includes careful attention to related medical problems, as well as management of symptoms and side effects.
Our medical oncology program encompasses several leading-edge therapies, including:
Chemotherapy treatment uses anti-cancer drugs either administered intravenously or in pill form to destroy cancer cells.
Our goal is to return you to your highest level of health by treating you with chemotherapy focused on the location and type of your cancer.
Targeted therapy is the leading edge of cancer treatments and the focus of extensive and continuing cancer research. These treatments are specifically designed to precisely identify and attack cancer cells while sparing damage to normal cells. Targeted therapy is a growing part of many cancer treatment regimens.
Our specially-designed Infusion Unit has 18 bays with a wide expanse of windows. Each treatment bay has a reclining chair, television, DVD, Wi-Fi and laptops for patients, and seating for visitors.
In our infusion room, you’ll be attended to by our compassionate, experienced nurses, while our nearby pharmacy is staffed by pharmacists and technicians who specialize in oncology. You’ll also have access to nutrition and social work services, integrative therapies like Reiki and acupuncture, and a healing garden for you and your family.
