The services you receive from your doctor are specific to your needs, and prices may vary based on non-hospital charges, unexpected complications, additional services and other unexpected charges. If you have health insurance and would like a price estimate, there are steps you can take to understand your insurance coverage and protect yourself from surprise bills. Your insurance company can answer questions about your coverage and anticipated costs. You can contact your insurance provider by calling the telephone number on the back of your health insurance member card or by visiting their website.
Based on your insurance plan, you may be billed for deductibles, co-payments or co-insurance for your
procedure or medical care. All covered services will be billed directly to your insurance company. Learn the Health Insurance Basics.
After your discharge, you will receive a hospital bill for services and care you received from the hospital during your procedure or stay. You may receive separate bills from your own physician, or from other physicians that provided care/services during your procedure or hospital stay (surgical, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, ect.).
Self Pay: Wentworth-Douglass offers a 40% discount for self-pay patients (patients with no insurance).
Prompt Pay: Wentworth-Douglass will offer a 20% prompt pay discount with full bill payment in 30 days. This applies to self-pay accounts and self-pay balances after insurance.
Off-site Lab: Wentworth-Douglass has several off-site Patient Testing Centers that can provide you with lower cost testing.
Our scheduling office will contact you directly when they receive a valid doctor’s order for your procedure or service. You will need your active insurance card on hand for scheduling.
A scheduled appointment is not needed for lab testing or walk-in radiology procedures.
