Wentworth-Douglass Hospital welcomes Dr. Sonali Shah

Sonali Shah, MD, has joined Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Seacoast Cancer Center, specializing in hematology and medical oncology, which includes the care of patients with a variety of cancers and blood disorders.

Prior to joining Wentworth-Douglass, Dr. Shah was a physician at Exeter Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care, specializing in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, primary hepatobiliary, neuroendocrine, colon, rectal and anal cancers. She is also a clinical associate attending in the division of hematology and oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Shah is board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine and earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Dr. Shah will draw upon her background in clinical and translational research to further develop access to clinical trials for patients in the community. She joins Dr. Amy Bessnow, Dr. Barbara Civiello, Dr. Cesar Castro, and Dr. Henry Sonneborn in providing excellent clinical care to our patients.
