Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Opens New Center for Heart Health in Somersworth

DOVER, NH – Wentworth Douglass Hospital’s Center for Heart Health held a ribbon-cutting and open house last month, to celebrate the opening of its newest location in Somersworth.

The Center for Heart Health at Somersworth, which opened in October, currently offers echocardiogram services four days per week and a device clinic, for those patients with pacemakers, one day per week. The hospital plans to grow its diagnostic services in this new location soon, with the addition of stress testing and expanded device clinic and echocardiogram services.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring new cardiology care, and the related advanced diagnostics tools, to the Greater Somersworth community,” said Denise Palumbo, assistant vice president of cardiovascular services. “We hope this new location allows us to serve more patients – and do it closer to home.”

Dr. Michael Metzger, Dr. Sachin Saksena, and advanced practice registered nurse Sunny-Fenn McNally have joined the Wentworth Douglass Hospital medical staff and are now accepting patients in Somersworth. The center is located at 3 Terrascape Parkway and business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Patients are welcome to call the practice at 603-609-6726 to schedule an appointment. The center is located at 3 Terrascape Parkway.
