Heart & Vascular Symposium | January 27, 2018

This symposium is designed for primary care, family medicine and internal medicine physicians as well as hospitalists, intensivists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and allied health practitioners interested in discovering new insight on cardiovascular disease.

This course is designed with the primary care provider in mind to provide a broad review of vascular surgery and cardiology conditions presenting in the ambulatory setting. Our speakers are practicing physicians at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital with broad experience in their respective topics. The vascular surgery section will review the diagnosis and management of venous disease, leg pain and claudication, carotid and upper extremity vascular problems, and management of patients with aortic aneurysm. The cardiology portion will review outpatient management of syncope and updates on new drug therapies for CHF, lipid management, and anticoagulation. Ample time will be allocated for interactive questions and discussion. Lunch and refreshments will be served and participants will tour the new hybrid operating room.
