MAMMOGRAPHY AND BONE DENSITY SERVICES:
WOMEN’S LIFE IMAGING CENTER
Women's Life Imaging Center is the region's largest and most comprehensive
breast imaging and bone density center. A joint venture of Wentworth-Douglass
Hospital and Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Women's Life Imaging Center is
accredited by the American College of Radiology and certified by the Food
and Drug Administration. In a private and comfortable setting, convenient
combination appointments may be scheduled for breast and bone health services.
Breast related services include screening and diagnostic mammography,
breast ultrasound and stereotactic core biopsy. All technologists are female
registered radiological technologists certified in mammography with extensive
breast imaging experience.
Bone densitometry, which measures bone mass for assessing fracture and
osteoporosis risk, is also available. The equipment utilizes DEXA technology
for accurate site-specific (hip and spine) scanning. All bone density technologists
are female registered radiological technologists who are also certified
in mammography.
Interpretations are provided by board-certified radiologists.
