OPERATING ROOM

The Operating Room provides 24-hour coverage for patients. Specialty categories include general, orthopaedic, obstetrics/gynecology, thoracic/chest, vascular, ear, nose and throat, urology, lithotripsy, ophthalmology, podiatry, oral, neurosurgery, spine and plastic/reconstruction.

The OR uses “state-of-the-art” technology to support all specialty categories of surgery. Video systems are used to guide a surgeon during minimally invasive surgery to inspect and/or perform procedures inside a body organ or cavity such as gall bladder removal, knee arthroscopy, hysterectomy and hernia repair. Specialized lasers (CO2, Argon, Holmium) are used for a variety of surgeries ranging from eye, to vascular and urological procedures. Lithotripsy is a non-invasive technique utilizing shock waves to locate and fragment kidney stones eliminating the need for surgery and reducing recovery time.
