CRITICAL CARE UNIT AND PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT

The Critical Care Unit provides critical care, which is the care of patients whose clinical condition is unstable or potentially unstable. The critical care healthcare team collaborates to provide the specialized care and treatment required for these patients.

The Progressive Care Unit consists of three beds located within the 11 bed CCU. This area has been designated to care for medical and surgical patients who do not require critical care, but need more care than can be provided on a medical surgical floor for up to 72 hours. The critical care healthcare team also provides the care for these patients.
