EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM "LIFELINE"

The "LIFELINE" Emergency Response System is a 24-hour service designed to meet the needs of elderly, handicapped and functionally impaired persons who live alone. The unit consists of a home transmitter with a built-in digital communicator that, when activated by a patient, automatically signals for help over existing telephone lines. Installation of the unit by a local coordinator can be done easily in any home for a modest rental fee. Members of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Healthwise 55 Senior Membership Program receive free installation and a discount on the monthly fee.
