After five years as an accountant Tim Dupuis decided he wanted more in his life. He wanted to be a nurse. A job shadowing experience at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in 2002 convinced him he was on the right career path. Tim completed his studies at New Hampshire Community Technical College and came back to work at WDH as a telemetry nurse caring for cardiac patients.
Our Compensation and Benefits Manager, Debbie Hodges, is one of many examples throughout the hospital of successful employees who advanced in their career in an environment that encourages their development. Debbie came to work at Wentworth-Douglass 24 years ago, while a UNH student, as a Food Service Worker. Upon graduation, she accepted a position as a payroll clerk. She held this position for four years and was promoted to payroll supervisor. After three years, Debbie was promoted again to the position she currently holds. "I have stayed because of the great opportunities for growth," Debbie said. "My work continues to challenge and allows me to maintain a flexible schedule that works for my family life."
