2011 WDH Auxiliary Donates $25,000 to suuport Hospital Expansion
The Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Auxiliary donated proceeds from their Gift Shop and special events held in 2010 to support the Hospital’s new 4-story expansion project slated for completion in early 2013. President Judy Lovely said the Auxiliary contributed $25,000 in December 2010 and pledged to contribute a similar amount at the end of 2011 to name a room in the new building. “We’ve made many large contributions to the Hospital over the years to purchase equipment and support expansion projects,” Lovely said. “This will be another opportunity to support the Hospital and the community.”
In 2003 the Auxiliary named the aquatic therapy pool in the Rehab Department in honor of Lily Ford, long-time employee, volunteer and Auxiliary board member. In 2005 and 2006 they donated $100,000 to name the lobby in the new CHaD at WDH addition.
