2010 Urgent Care Center in Lee Celebrates First Year of Caring for the Community

It’s been a year since Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Walk-In Urgent Care Center in Lee opened to care for minor health emergencies.
A celebration event will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors will receive a free t-shirt (while supplies last), free blood pressure screen and take a free chance to win some great raffle prizes including a family-size WDH first aid kit, tickets for a cruise to the Isles of Shoals, passes to Canobie Lake Park, Liquid Planet Waterpark and the NH Fischercats.
The Urgent Care Center offers express care services for minor injuries and illnesses. Minor health emergencies include colds, flu, sore throats, rashes, fever, respiratory infections earaches, eye infection, minor burns and cuts, sprains, upset stomach, diarrhea, insect bites and more. The Urgent Care Center does not treat serious injuries and major trauma cases. Patients with life threatening emergencies should call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
The Center is staffed by Seacoast Emergency Physician group – the same medical group that provides high quality care for the patients at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Emergency Department.
The Urgent Care Center is located on the first level of the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Professional Center off Rt. 125 near the Lee Traffic Circle across from Market Basket.
