WDH receives donations from Demoulas Foundation and CVS/Caremark
The Demoulas Foundation recently awarded Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (WDH) $15,000. This grant will support the Seacoast Cancer Center’s ongoing upgrade including the Novalis TX, an advanced radiation therapy treatment system. In the past, the Demoulas Foundation gave $7,500 to WDH’s CHaD medical clinic to support classes for families dealing with chronically ill children. Market Basket was previously called Demoulas Market Basket. It was sold by the Demoulas family a few years ago.
CVS/Caremark awarded $1,500 in Community Grant Funds to WDH in January to help provide operating funds for the Wentworth-Douglass Community Dental Center. CVS previously donated $1,000 to the Dental Center to assist WDH in providing affordable dental care to low-income, uninsured patients. In past years, WDH has subsidized the Dental Center over $500,000.
