WENTWORTH-DOUGLASS HOSPITAL NURSING ASSISTANT HONORED FOR EXCELLENCE Caregiver receives award at State House event Marie Vatcher, LNA at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, won this year’s LNA of the Year Award from the New Hampshire Hospital Association. During a ceremony at the State House, Vatcher was recognized for compassionately and selflessly improving the quality of patients’ lives every day. Vatcher was nominated her compassion and dependability in making sure patients’ needs are met every day. One nurse who nominated Marie said “If I could clone Marie, I would be giving the nursing profession the ultimate gift. She is not only an awesome role model; she is a great person and one of a kind.” “Our hospitals are very proud of their staff, especially the nurses and LNAs,” said Steve Ahnen, NHHA president. “We receive some terrific nominations every year, and it’s always difficult to choose the best one."
