PATIENT CARE

  • 178 Beds, largest acute care in the Seacoast area
  • Birth Center provides a wide range of birthing options and a Level II Nursery.
  • Diabetes Services is a collaborative education program with the Seacoast Diabetes Center. The American Diabetes Association in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Patient Education recognizes this facility for meeting its high standards.
  • Emergency Room rated Level II Trauma Center, 35,000 visits per year.
  • Endoscopy Unit is the Seacoast's largest endoscopy resource. Daily procedures include colonoscopies, endoscopies, as well as GI
  • Express Care is a walk-in area of the emergency department where you can expect to be seen for minor medical emergencies in a timely fashion.
  • Heart Care Center offers a multitude of cardiac services and is part of the Seacoast Collaborative with and other area hospitals.
  • Orthopedics is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care of the musculoskeletal system, which includes bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and any structure related to them such as extremities and the spine. (link will go to Orthopedic page under Services).
  • Pain Management Center is staffed with Anesthesiologists from the Seacoast Pain Institute, RNs, and medical assistants.
  • Rehab Services includes gym with the latest CYBEX equipment, Lily Ford Aquatic Therapy Center for water therapy, Balance Treatment Center, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
  • Same Day Surgery is designed for surgeries that only last for a few hours, including gyn and orthopedic scope procedures, hernia repair, biopsies, and laser eye surgery.
  • Seacoast Cancer Center, accredited by the American College of Surgeons, affiliated with Dana Farber/ Partners CancerCare network, offers IMRT, HDR.
  • Sleep Disorders Center is a facility dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep related disorders and discomfort.
  • Staff is 98% Board Certified or Board eligible.
  • Wound Healing Institute is one of the newest and busiest services devoted to healing patients with serious wounds.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • HealthWise 55 is a program for senior citizens to undergo health screenings, educational programs, discounted LIFELINE emergency response program, notary public service for Advance Directives, meal and gift shop discounts at hospital and travel club discount, please call (603) 740-2817.
  • Financial Aid Program assists patients with hospital bills, please call (603) 740-2425. Financial Assistance and Community Service referrals, please call (603) 740-2431.
  • Medication Assistance Program is a resource for low income, poor, elderly patients that need help in obtaining free or reduced costs medications, please call ( 603) 740-3376.
  • Physician Referral Service offers a referral service for those in the area and other information as well. Please call (603) 740-3277. from 9 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday.
  • WDH's Dental Project is geared at helping low income people with dental assistance.
  • Pete’s Place Grief Support Center is a Wentworth-Douglass Hospital sponsored children’s community project designed to support children, teens and families who grieve the death of someone close to them who had a serious illness.
