The Seacoast Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital provides the most comprehensive program of medical and radiation oncology in the Seacoast of NH and Southern Maine. Our services include diagnostic testing, chemotherapy services, radiotherapy services, clinical trials and a full complement of support services designed to meet the special needs of you and your family. Our staff will help you and your family meet the challenges of living with cancer by providing information, guidance and suggestions.
The Seacoast Cancer Center Patient Portal offers you secure access to your Cancer Center health information online. You can e-mail questions, request appointments, view lab results and request medication refills when it is convenient for you. If you are a current patient and have given us your e-mail address, please check your e-mail for an invitation to the portal and set up your user ID and password. If you already have an ID and password, you can go to the Patient Portal now.
Our Medical Oncology Unit works with you from the moment you discover you have cancer. At WDH, cancer is treated by a multi-disciplinary team of oncologists combining their unique skills to create the best plan of treatment for you. The Infusion Unit features a wide expanse of windows with patient bays all surrounding a central nurses' station. An adjacent, small brick-walled garden is available for you and your family to enjoy. The Seacoast Cancer Center also includes private patient waiting areas, designated spaces for an oncology pharmacy, nutrition and social work services.
Our Radiation Oncology Unit offers state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. This means you can stay close to home during your course of treatment. We offer advanced treatments such as three-dimensional, conformal treatment planning, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR), Partial Breast Irradiation, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic RadioSurgery (SRS), and Stereotactic RadioTherapy (SRT) designed to spare healthy tissues while more-aggressively targeting cancerous tissues. All of these advanced therapies are provided in a comfortable setting staffed by specialists in the field.
Our Medical and Radiation Oncology programs are affiliates in the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Trial Support Unit network, offering oncology patients access to clinical trials previously available only at major medical centers.
Wentworth-Douglass led a pilot project in 2014 to develop a Lung Cancer Screening program.
